Pilea microphylla (Artillery fern, rockweed, gunpowder plant, Brilhantina) is a member of the piles family. Grows from 8-12 inch tall. It has light green, almost succulent, stems and tiny 1/8 leaves which contribute to its other nickname, Artillery Fern, but it is not related to ferns.

Plant in well-draining soil. Keep in bright indirect light to part shade. Water when top 1-2 inches are dry. Can tolerate assorted neglect.
